I’m Nicholas Humbertson, a sports and aviation photographer based near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I specialize in capturing fast-paced action, defining moments, and the atmosphere surrounding live sports through sharp, dynamic imagery.
My photography experience spans professional, collegiate, and high school athletics, with work for and alongside organizations and publications including the Washington Wild Things, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Soccer Now, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, and Westmoreland Sports Network. I’ve covered everything from professional baseball and soccer to football, postseason championships, and high school athletics, often working on tight deadlines and delivering publication-ready galleries the same night.
Beyond sports, aviation is one of my biggest areas of focus. I photograph military and commercial aviation, airshows, flight demonstrations, and aircraft operations, combining my background in aviation with the same emphasis on timing, movement, and storytelling that defines my sports work.
Whether I’m working from a sideline, a dugout, or beneath a flight line, my goal is simple: capture moments that put the viewer inside the action.
